Children must receive the sacraments of Baptism and Reconciliation prior to First Eucharist.
First Eucharist (Holy Communion)
About gr. 2 or age 7
Children must be baptized prior to celebrating other sacraments. If baptism is needed, please contact the priests in the parish office.
The Archdiocese recommends that children celebrate the Sacrament of First Reconciliation prior to celebrating the Sacrament of First Eucharist. Both of these sacraments are usually celebrated in the same year.
The Church recognizes parents as the first and best teachers of the faith for their children (Second Vatican Council, Gravissum Educationis, 28 October 1965; Saint John Paul II, Letter to Families, 2 February 1994). The parish will support you with excellent resources and guidance.
-The registration form is in the link below. (One form covers both 1st Reconciliation AND 1st Eucharist.) -Please attach a copy of your child’s BAPTISM certificate unless they were baptized at Holy Family Parish.
-The registration form and Baptismal Certificate can be brought to the parent information session. Dates are included in the Registration Form below.
